SearchMyFiles lets you Search Windows without Leaving Traces
May. 13th, 2009 By Karl L. Gechlik
I recently had to perform a search on a computer that is not connected to our network and I was not allowed to leave any trace behind that I was there, installed any applications or ran any searches on the machine. I had to search the machine for all files created in the last 5 days and save my results.

By Kevin Purdy, 8:00 AM on Fri Mar 27 2009, 5,510 views
Windows only: We took a strong liking to controlling multiple computers with a single keyboard and mouse nearly two years ago, and the concept’s still cool, but the software hasn’t updated. Synergy-Plus keeps the multi-control party going.

yWriter – A Word Processor For Creative Writing
The tools used in the creative writing process differ as wildly as the authors; some perform best when using old school pen and paper, while others prefer top-notch text processors.
I, for one, used to put my words down in Microsoft Word, although I never quite thought it to be the ultimate tool for the job.

Firefox tips
Skriv “about:config” i adresse baren og tryk enter.
Search For Pictures On Your Computer & Online With Ginipic (Windows Only).
Mar. 15th, 2009 By T.J. Mininday
At the beginning, searching consisted of trying to find websites based upon your favorite things. Finding those boring static HTML pages at 56k speeds would keep you entertained for hours.
Soon after the early search days of AltaVista, Infoseek and Yahoo, Google took over. Google would not only find those same pages during the internet conception, but would essentially answer any question you want as well. Today, we still have all of that, but with Maps, News, Videos, and of course images.

18 Useful Plugins & Hacks To Protect Your WordPress Blog.
Mar. 13th, 2009 By Damien Oh
Without a doubt, for a self-hosted blog, WordPress is the best blog CMS that you can get. However, being a popular and open source software, it also means that hackers have full access to the code which they can scrutinize to find any exploits they can use to hack into any WordPress-enabled site.
On the good side, one of the best things about WordPress is its plugin system that allows anyone to install any plugins or create your own plugins to extend its functionality, including improving security.
Here, I have listed some plugins (and a couple of tricks) that you can use to protect your WordPress blog.
All the plugins and tricks listed below are meant for WP 2.7 and above. If you are still using an older version of WordPress, it’s time to upgrade your blog.

Input Director
Input Director is a Windows application that lets you control multiple Windows systems using the keyboard/mouse attached to one computer. It is designed for folks who have two or more computers set up at home and find themselves regularly sliding from one system to the other and wearing out the carpet in the process. With Input Director, you can share a single keyboard/mouse across a set of systems. You switch which system receives the input either by hotkey or by moving the cursor so that it transitions from one screen to the other in a very similar fashion to a multi-monitor setup. The idea being that you can position the monitors from two or more systems in a row and use a shared keyboard/mouse to control all of them.
